There is little to no downside when I used it which makes this product so good for both seasoning your Blackstone griddle and cleaning it for the next time that you will use it! What I like about the Pompeian, Non-GMO, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil is the BPA-free bottle that it comes in. It helps in storage without compromising the taste of the olive oil. The olive oil is also great since it is natural and cold pressed which gives great seasoning for the Blackwork griddle. But what I didn’t like about the bottle itself is that it is hard to squeeze the right about for your griddle. So you have to be really careful about using it so you get just the right amount of oil. But otherwise, the seasoning tastes great and is not too overpowering when you are cooking on the griddle.

High-heat cooking and neutral flavor are what you get with the grapeseed oil from the La Tourangelle, Expeller-Pressed Grapeseed Oil! It is one of the better grapeseed oil I have used on my griddle and while I don’t personally like it over avocado oil, it does the job great. It keeps the griddle seasoned nicely, especially for steaks, and does not add flavor to it so you get perfectly flavored from it. However, the container is not good at all. It drips everywhere and can become messy very quickly. Otherwise, the oil itself is great for your Blackstone griddle!

However, it comes in a plastic bottle and I would prefer it to be in a dark glass bottle instead!

It gets rid of the toughest of stains and grease from the griddle without needing to use too much either! It adds a mild citrus taste to the griddle which you may or may not prefer but I quite liked the flavors with the coconut infusion. However, the only sad part is that the nozzle starts becoming a bit wonky once you have used it enough. It does not spray in the mist I would prefer and I actually ended up replacing it with another oil spray top to keep using the product.

I’ll start off with what I don’t like about the Cast Iron Sam’s 100% Natural Cast Iron Seasoning Oil. It has a very low smoke point so you need to be very careful when cooking with it since it will start to smoke very easily, even after cleaning and drying your griddle! However, what it does good is keep the stainless Blackstone griddle in perfect condition for cooking and helps keep it maintained so that your griddle can last a long time. It is made with plant-based products so you know that it is perfectly vegan! It also does an incredible job of cleaning not just the griddle surface but every part of the griddle. The cleaning was also very easy so I had no trouble with that.

It really bought out the flavors from the steak I was making on a medium sear which was fantastic.
